This tenure-track position is expected to not only serve as an initial step toward establishing and further advancing alternatives to animal testing at the JKU’s Faculty of Medicine, the successful candidate will also be expected to serve in an advising capacity to assist academics/scientists currently developing alternatives to animal testing. This position focuses on a ‘triangular’ area between developing new, alternative cell-based and tissue-based methods and associated analytics, technological processes, materials, and device engineering, measurement and control technology, and computer-based models and simulations. As part of the faculty’s academic/scientific focus, the position will focus on developing and implementing alternatives to animal testing in a minimum of one of these areas.
