The 4th Asian Congress for Alternatives to Animal Experiments (4ACAAE) and 7th Annual Meeting of the Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments India (SAAE-I) took place in Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India from 12.12.-14.12.2024 (www.jamiahamdard.ac.in/4ACAAE) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Y.J. Gupta and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), led by Prof. Seikh Raisuddin (Organizing Secretary) supported by Prof. H.A. Khan, Prof. Suhel Parvez, Dr. Nidhi and many more wonderful people from his team.

During the poster sessions the innovative nature and excellence of the contributions were overwhelming. In this regard, EUSAAT granted two poster prizes, each with 250€ and an invitation to the EUSAAT congress 2026. The winners were:

Ms. Ranjita R Save from Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay(IITB) for her work entitled “An in vitro model mimicking skin rigidity to study diabetic wounds.”

Mr. Anshul Bhide from ICMR-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health, Mumbai, India for his work entitled “An organ-on-chip device simulating terminal villi for investigating the barrier function of human placenta”
