The ‚Karl Chiari Lab for Orthopaedic Biology’ at the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (Medical University of Vienna, Austria) is currently seeking a PhD candidate to work on the biological mechanisms of osseointegration.

The project will investigate the contribution of skeletal stem cells and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) to the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying new bone formation at the bone-implant interface. This work will combine cell culture as well as animal models employing histology, molecular and cell biology, and image analyses.
